I just discovered him earlier this week. The Arab influence is so strong here that I thought it was Arab (to my ears). However, a little research shows that this is a Canadian-born composer, of Sri Lankan and Bulgarian blood. And an economist in his spare time. Wowie. Not to mention the exquisite voice, instrumentation, melodies. Extraordinary. Enchanting really. Many thanks.
